The Conference theme is 'Empowering Student Learners in Higher Education'. The Conference will be of interest to all members of the Higher Education community with an interest in teaching, learning and assessment, and in a change to previous Learning and Teaching conferences, will be open to a limited number of external delegates.

2012 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR THE SOCIETY FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION

19 - 22 June 2012, Centre Mont-Royal, Montreal, Quebec, Canada


The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) invites proposals for presentations at its 32nd Annual International Conference.

The theme of this conference is “Learning without boundaries? Apprentissage sans limites?”

Questions to explore include:

• Does learning have boundaries?• What boundaries do we have or need?• Are boundaries productive? Constructive? Liberating?• Which boundaries need to be re-drawn, crossed, broken or maintained?

The theme invites participants to expand their boundaries and /or bridges in areas related to:

• Research
• Teaching practices
• Learning environments
• Language, culture, and disciplines
• Learning support services such as: libraries, student services, service learning, stages/internships

All proposals must be submitted by midnight Thursday January 19, 2012.

2012 HEA Annual Conference

3 - 4 July 2012, The University of Manchester


The title for the 8th Annual Conference is Great Expectations: Are you ready?  In a system that puts students at its heart, their expectations of their course, institution and learning experience are rising. Staff and institutions have their own aims and expectations too. In the year of the London Olympics competitors have expectations of winning and are preparing to be ready for the challenge we apply the theme to the higher education sector and explore its implications for 2012.

The 2012 International Consortium for Educational Development, ICED2012

The conference theme “Across the Globe Higher Educational learning and teaching” is created to embrace sharing of global experiences and best practice in teaching and learning in order to promote rethinking in quality learning and teaching paradigms for all parts of the world.

Maintaining and Sustaining Mass Higher Education

17 - 19 September 2012, OECD headquarters in Paris

This event constitutes a unique opportunity for policy makers, institutional managers, civil society representatives and academic researchers to be part of a showcase for a high level audience (CEOs, ministers, rectors, etc.).
