This booklet guides you in reviewing and improving your assessment practices, and aims to help you construct a more fertile learning environment and a more rewarding learning experience for both you and your students.

It introduces you to the purposes of assessment, defines the characteristics of good assessment, and differentiates between the different methods of assessment used in third level education.
