Course/Module Design and Development

CLT supports the Academic cummunity in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching & learning by allowing access and development of on-line modules. A well-designed module, underpinned by pedagogy, can support the student in active and independent learning. Providing students with e-Learning resources that are engaging can scaffold the student in the art of critical thinking which encourages the pursuit of higher learning.  Learning outcomes can be clearly identified for the student, and aligned with high quality course material (including direct access to references previously uploaded to the VLE), activities and assessments (including plagiarism checks for essay work), adding value to the learning process. Excellence in postgraduate’s education demands easy access, flexible frameworks for education delivery, support for prior learning, and collaboration for learning and communication purposes.

The College e-learning team can support lecturers in designing and developing on-line courses whether within the College VLE (Blackboard/WebCT) or standalone.
