Problem Based Learning (PBL)
In 2010/11 TIC collaborated with PBL practitioners from across the College to create a set of PBL good practice guidelines.
We sought to investigate any accessibility issues that may arise from aspects of PBL, with the aim of devising guidelines that will help overcome these difficulties while maintaining the benefits of PBL as a learning tool.
A survey on student perceptions of PBL went out to students registered on:
- Medicine,
- Occupational Therapy,
- Dentistry,
- Clinical Speech and Language Studies, and
- Pharmacy
in Hilary Term 2011. This was analysed and results can be found in the PBL survey report (Word, 1.01mb).
If you work with PBL and would like to get involved in any follow up studies contact TIC.
