Students registered with the Disability Service were surveyed for their JF experience. They indicated that while many aspects of College life could be challenging for new entrants, the experience is positive overall and the majority of students surveyed stated that College is an open, inclusive and welcoming place. Trinity Inclusive Curriculum case study published.

30th August 2012

‘The Dynamic Curriculum: Shared Experiences of On-going Curricular Change in Higher Education’, which includes a chapter on the Trinity Inclusive Curriculum (TIC) strategy will be launched on August 30th in ebook format at the AISHE (All Ireland Society for Higher Education) Conference in Dublin City University.

This publication, which arose out of the SIF funded Dublin Regional Higher Education Alliance (DRHEA) collaboration, compiles and documents the different experiences of seven Irish higher education institutions in the area of curriculum reform. TCD’s chapter discusses the TIC strategy.

The process of creating and compiling the book was based upon the idea that HEIs can learn more by sharing experiences than they can in isolation, and so it is designed to initiate dialogues between colleagues. Contributions address such topics as first year assessment, accessibility, eLearning, modularisation, and the role of the university teacher to name a few. Each chapter is followed by a critical response by an expert in the area from outside the DRHEA.
