Project Initiation Form
The Project Initiation Form is a prototype for a new process that the Director of Buildings Office is trialling. We intend to roll this out to all of our Clients in order to streamline the project start up process. Our goal is to organise all of the necessary information required to start a project onto a single form. This form is currently in the “testing” phase and we would appreciate your patience and comments related to improving the function of the form.
Please use this form for all Building Projects including Space Requests and Notification of Change of Space. (For maintenance and repairs, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please note: the Draft College Specific Requirements for New and Refurbished Buildings, Universal Access Policy and the latest Building Regulations must be adhered to.
Any new works must not cause a new or greater contravention of the Building Regulations in the existing building.
All appointments relating to the Project will be made by the Director of Buildings Office (i.e. architects, quantity surveyors, interior designers etc).
All buildings are College Buildings (that is, they belong to College rather than to a particular School or Faculty) and except for very specialised buildings, their design should recognise the possibility of a future change of use. Nevertheless, they must satisfy the needs of their immediate users and their success or otherwise in doing this will in large part be a function of the consultation that takes place between the Users and College.
Project to be authorised by Head of School or equivalent.
Developing the Scope will be on agreement with the Client.
Director of Buildings Office will appoint a Project Manager within 5 working days.
