CRANN
When the CRANN building opens in 2007, it will be a unique facility for world-class scientific research and innovative public outreach. CRANN is located on the Trinity College campus, at the intersection of Pearse Street and Westland Row in the heart of Dublin.

Four floors of the building are devoted to purpose-built nanoscience laboratories, with ultra-stable vibration, temperature and humidity controlled environments for the scanning-probe microscopes and clean rooms equipped to assemble the smallest molecular structures.
The ground and first floors will house the Science Gallery and Conference Centre, a public space featuring a 150-seat lecture theatre, meeting rooms and display areas to engage both the scientific community and the general public.
The c. 6000 m2 building costing €29 million, is jointly funded by Science Foundation Ireland under its CSET (Centres for Science, Engineering and Technology) programme in conjunction with Trinity College Dublin and private sponsors.
