While the transport section is primarily to support other Building Office services, transport of goods for Schools can be arranged at a charge. The service is provided by Buildings Office general operatives and contractors managed by the Building Co-Ordinator. Requests can be made to the Help Desk by emailing repairs@tcd.ie

The following is the minimum notice required by the Buildings Office

• Light transport within main campus – 3 working days
• Light transport between College sites – 4 working days
• Light transport to other locations in Dublin – 5 working days
• Heavy transport within main campus – 10 working days
• Heavy transport between College sites – 15working days
• Heavy transport to other locations in Dublin – 20 working days
• Heavy transport is a service requiring more than one operative.

The service is available 8am and 3.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 2.30pm on Fridays. The service can be arranged outside of these hours for an additional charge. The service is dependant on the availability of resources. This is not a courier service.

 

All non-maintenance transport services are chargeable, Schools and Departments are requested to supply a chargecode when logging a request for this service.
