The Help Desk is a point of contact for anyone in College wishing to request a service from the Buildings Office. The help desk will log all requests and be available to provide feedback to customers if so requested.
The Help Desk can be contacted by telephone on ext. 1828. Non-urgent requests can be emailed to repairs@tcd.ie In the case of an emergency a 24hr call-in service can be contact via the security centre If reporting a fault please have the following information ready:
- Location of fault - building and room number if possible.
- Person who reported fault - staff/student number.
- Nature of fault - e.g. mechanical/electrical services, fixtures etc.
- Description of fault
The Help Desk will be available between the hours of 8am & 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am & 4pm on Fridays (Excluding College and Public Holidays). In the case of an emergency a 24hr call-in service can be contact via the security centre on ext. 1317. The Help Desk is for requests for the following services only
- Reactive maintenance
- Planned maintenance
- Condition monitoring
- Technical advice
- Building Plant Operation
- Utility Supply - electricity, gas and water supplies.
- Transport
- Elemental Replacement
- Minor improvements
And does not cover
Security, Attendance, Grounds, Telephones, Car parking, Insurance, Energy Management, Refurbishment Projects, Capital Projects, Rent & Leases, Space Management, Waste Management or Mail.
