Broad Curriculum Language Modules
Language modules provided by the Centre for Language and Communication Studies (CLCS) aim to provide added value to undergraduate studies, to support student mobility on exchange programmes, and enhance students’ career prospects. These evening language courses are designed to help develop practical and academic communication skills for study or work experience abroad. Please note that these are not grammar or conversation classes, but instead employ a project-based curriculum, with regular group-work.
Language modules are available in the following languages and proficiency levels (depending upon sufficient enrolment):
- A1 level (absolute beginners): German, Turkish, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese and Korean
- A2 level (beginners, elementary): German, Turkish, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese and Korean
- B1 level (non-beginners, intermediate - Leaving Certificate or equivalent required): German, French, Spanish, Irish
- B2 level (non-beginners, advanced - Leaving Certificate or equivalent required + extended work or travel experience using the target language): German, French, Spanish & Irish
