Broad Curriculum Credit Regulations
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE SUBMITTING A
BROAD CURRICULUM APPLICATION FORM
Undergraduate students must be registered for a degree course or be a visiting student in one of the Faculties listed below in order to register for a Broad Curriculum (BC) cross-faculty module or language module. Since the academic year 2008/09, Broad Curriculum modules may only be taken on a substitution basis, i.e. you may only take a Broad Curriculum cross-faculty module or language module if you are registered for it as part of your 60 ECTS credits. All Broad Curriculum modules carry 5 ECTS credits.
Before submitting your application for a BC module, please check that you are eligible to apply and familiarise yourself with the credit regulations by clicking on the link to your Faculty.
Each undergraduate degree course is listed separately according to Faculty (with TSM courses listed separately). Information is given for each undergraduate degree course regarding credit regulations and the degree year(s) in which students are eligible to take a BC module in 2012/13. The conditions for eligibility to apply will depend on the degree course you are taking. All places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and strictly subject to timetable constraints.
Please note that your Broad Curriculum modules(s) will not appear on your timetable until September 2012, at which time you will be notified of your registration by email. You should not expect confirmation of registration before this time, although we will contact you during the summer months if you are not eligible for your chosen course(s).
If you are applying for two Broad Curriculum modules, please submit two separate applications.
