Postgraduate Overview

Botany staff have a high research profile and are all active in postgraduate training and research within the School of Natural Sciences. There are currently 42 registered research students working on individual projects within the research groups.

To explore possibilities for postgraduate research toward an MSc or PhD degree please visit our research page and contact the relevant research group.

In the first instance please contact the member of staff whose research interests are most closely allied to your own.

Following agreement with a potential supervisor, a formal application to register must be made through Graduate Studies. Please read the application procedures.

Research Studentships

Funded research studentships are widely advertised in the press and also on our own website. Further details of College and external funding can be accessed via the Graduate Studies Office website.
