I has a B.Sc in Biology and M.Sc. in Botany from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. I have been working as a lecturer at Faculty of Science and Technology, Suratthani Rajabhat university, Thailand since 2012. My primary interest is vegetation ecology and wetland ecosystems.
PhD Project: Relationship between plants and environmental variables in floodplain vegetation in Nong thung tong non-Hunting Area, Thailand
This project aims to summarize vegetation variation and relate the variation with environmental controls in order to gain increased understanding on factors that create and maintain vegetation mosaic or diversity of plant assemblages in Nong thung tong non-Hunting Area, the largest floodplain vegetation remaining in peninsular Thailand. The project includes field surveys to describe vegetation and characterize the spatial variability in relation to flooding and edaphic factors and outdoor experiments to compare flood tolerance ability of some dominant species found in the area. Knowledge to be gained from this research will be useful for conservation and management of Nong thung tong non-Hunting Area as well as degraded patches of floodplain vegetation nearby. The project is supported by Suratthani Rajabhat University, Thailand.
