Visa InformationThere are no visa requirements for EU passport holders to enter Ireland. Non-EU citizens should contact their local embassies for specific requirements. Further information can be obtained from the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs website. Participants requiring a visa are strongly advised to make their application well in advance and allow at least 8 weeks for the application to be processed if applying from abroad. All foreign citizens entering Ireland must be in possession of a valid passport. All citizens of non-EU countries, whether they require a visa or not, are subject to immigration control at the point of entry to Ireland. The EBEC2008 Organising Committee cannot accept any responsibility for visa applications. Where a delegate is unable to attend because of failure to obtain a visa the registration fee will be refunded, subject to the normal cancellation policy. Applying for a VisaWe have contacted the visa office at the Irish Naturalisation & Immigration Service with details of the conference and indicated that a number of delegates will require visas. This should facilitate the processing of your visa application. Visit http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP07000217 for details regarding the requirements from prospective conference delegates. Please note the key points below.
