Travel Information

Arriving by Air

Dublin Airport is situated approximately 10km north of the city centre. There is only one international airport in Dublin.

A taxi from the airport to the city centre will cost approx €30 and takes about 30 minutes; it may take considerably longer depending on traffic. It is always advisable to get an estimate of the fare to your destination before you get in a taxi and you should be provided with a printed receipt when you pay.

Aircoach (light blue coaches) runs 24 hours a day from outside Arrivals direct to the city centre. Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver and cost €7 single fare, €12 return. Dublin Bus run a regular Airlink bus service from outside Arrivals to the city centre, tickets cost €6 single fare, €10 return. For more information visit Airlink

Car from Airport: Car rental companies such as Hertz, Argus, Avis and Europcar etc are all available from the Airport. Please be aware that there will be no parking facilities available to delegates on the Trinity College campus.

Arriving by Ferry

Both high speed and conventional ferries operate between the UK and Dublin (Dublin Port and Dun Laoghaire), Rosslare (95km) and Belfast (165km). Conventional ferries operate from France to either Rosslare or Cork (256km). For further information, please contact www.irishferries.com or www.stenaline.com

Arriving by Train

There is a regular train service between Dublin and Belfast, Cork and Rosslare. Please visit the Irish Rail website www.irishrail.ie for information and timetables.

Arriving by Bus
