The CSBMD,
established in 2004, brings together a unique core of TCD researchers
using cutting edge structural biology to advance our biochemical
knowledge and delivering new rationally designed therapeutic agents.

At the core of the CSBMD is
Ireland's first system for protein X-ray crystallography - The existing
TCD X-ray facility, funded by the Higher Education Authority and
Science Foundation Ireland includes a complete Rigakuk/MSC system with
an X-ray generator, image plate, and cryo-cooling capabilities. The
Molecular Design Group operates a dedicated 24 cpu modelling linux
cluster with gigabit interconnect and 2 Tb NAS NFS disk, funded by the Irish Health Research Board and Science Foundation Ireland.
The CSBMD has key
partnership and license agreements in place with the following software

Group, Accelrys, Daylight Corporation, OpenEye Scientific, Simbiosys.
