Junior Sophister Course DescriptionBiochemistry with Cell Biology (TR071)Course Adviser: Dr Derek Nolan denolan@tcd.ie 'Biochemistry with Cell Biology' is a new moderatorship course offered by the School of Biochemistry and Immunology. The emphasis in this course is on understanding how living cells perform their vital functions at both the cellular and molecular levels of organization. The course deals with both recent discoveries in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and with the core material in these disciplines in order to provide the basis for understanding the mechanisms that make life possible. The Junior Sophister year consists of a varied programme of lectures, practicals, tutorials and a mini-review of the literature on a chosen topic.
