Ethical Review other Institutions

The ethical review committee at Trinity College has agreed that there should be no need for committee to intervene whenever a scientist from another institution presents:

Evidence that the Ethics Committee of the home institution has given approval to the relevant project in its entirety.

The relevant licence from the Department of Health and children allowing the procedure. It should include Trinity College as additional registered premises.

In the absence of such approval, access to the MRI will be denied until this subcommittee has assessed and given ethical approval to the entire project. This should be presented to the TCD Ethical Committee, by ethical review form available at www.tcd.ie/bioresources.

Animals may be housed in TCD for short periods of time before and after the projects to allow for acclimatisation.

All work will be overseen by the Director of the Bio resources Unit.
