Bonus points for Mathematics
Students presenting Leaving Certificate Mathematics at honors
level will be credited with an additional 25 points for achieving
a grade HD3 or above.
Students presenting A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics
or Pure Mathematics will be credited with an additional 25 points
for achieving a grade E or above.
Entry Route for students presenting
FETAC qualifications
From 2012 there will be an entry route to a number of degree
programmes in Trinity College for applicants presenting
appropriate FETAC (level 5) qualifications. Applicants presenting
distinctions in five modules can be considered for admission
to Science (TR071); General Nursing (TR091 & TR093);
Psychiatric Nursing (TR095); Intellectual Disability Nursing
(TR097) and Midwifery (TR913). Further details may be found

‘Science’ – Biochemistry options
The following two course options: ‘Biochemistry
with cell biology’, and ‘Biochemistry with structural
biology’, have been replaced with ‘Biochemistry’.
‘Biochemistry with immunology’ has been replaced
with ‘Immunology’.
TR039
‘Computer science and language’
This course replaces ‘TR010 Computer science,
linguistics and German’, ‘TR011 Computer science,
linguistics and French’, and ‘TR013 Computer
science, linguistics and Irish’.
Students of TR039 choose one language from
French, German and Irish. Students must present
a higher level grade C in mathematics; and a higher
level grade C1 if presenting French or German, or
a higher level grade B if presenting Irish.
